MURI grant awarded to Northwestern

Northwestern researchers are awarded a MURI grant to develop chemical methods for controlling the conformations and functions of proteins.  The team, led by Professor Milan Mrksich, includes Michael Jewett and Vinayak Dravid of the IIN, and also partners Jared Lewis, Greg Voth and Benoir Roux at the University of Chicago.  The five year effort will be supported by a 6.25M award.  The characterization resources in the IIN are instrumental for characterizing the conformational changes of proteins and megamolecules that will be developed by the team.
